Received $10.75 in ECB ($10 from Good Nights and .75 for M&M's)
I had a gift card with about $12 on it that I was planning to use but the store was having register issues so it was a no go. I ended up paying more than I was planning to out of pocket but whatever because I can spend my gift card and my new ECB on my next trip.

CVS- Back After a Six Month Hiatus
Children's Allegra $9.99 - $5 MC
Neosporin to Go $7.49 - $5 MC (from a complaint to the company)
Good N' Natural Bar .99 - Free MC
Total: $7.95 on a gift card I found in my coupon box
Received $7.99 in ECB ($4.99 for Allegra and $3 for Neosporin)
Where did this gift card come from? I don't remember and I especially don't remember how much, if anything, I paid for it. I have been such a disorganized mess so it's even a wonder that I found this gift card and didn't throw it away by accident. So lets just say I got it for free- yeah for free money!
I plan on heading back to get some Goodnight diapers for my son; he is a heavy sleeper and still wets the bed so any deal I can find on big kid diapers is welcomed.
I haven't played the drugstore game in over six months so it feels good to be getting back into the swing of things. My budget will surely be thanking me.

I didn't do a super great job of rolling my ECB but I think that before I have the baby I want to just spend them all and not have any left over. I don't want to have to worry about running to the store to spend ECB before they expire.

CVS- Saved 94%
2 Starbucks Frappuccino @ $5.00 each - $2/2 MC
Gatorade $3.00
Less $10 ECB
Total: $1.00
Saved 94%
Received $5 ECB for purchasing $15 of Starbucks/Gatorade (I bought a pack of Gatorade the other day)
My husband loves the Starbucks drinks and hopefully by me buying them he will stop getting Dunkin Donuts everyday- what a budget buster buying coffee everyday can be. The Gatorade was a treat for me.

CVS- Not As Planned...
Gatorade $3.00
2 Dove Shampoo/COnditioner @ $3.00 each
Dove Soap $6.00
Dove Deodorant $3.49
Less $6.00 MC (the cashier put the amount in for my shampoo BOGO coupon for $6 instead of $3)
Less $2.99 ECB
Less $3.06 on gift card I got for 50% off
Total: $4.77
Saved 83%
I wanted to get Starbucks drinks that were on sale for $5 (wyb $15 worth you get back $5 ECB) but they were all out so I got the Gatorade instead. Then at the register the amount I calculated in my head was off for my total but I just figured that I am brain dead and added things up wrong. When I got home I realized that the cashier entered in my Dove BOGO shampoo/conditioner coupon as $6 (the price of the soap) instead of the $3 it should have been- hence the fact that I had a way higher out of pocket than I anticipated. Isn't it funny how us couponers are the only ones who hate when cashiers make mistakes like this? Anyone else would have been happy but me- I am annoyed that things didn't work out the way I planned.
I am going to go back this week to finish out the Starbucks deal so hopefully they will be restocked.

Yeah for the awesome diaper deal! If you take into account the fact that I only paid $5 for the $10 gift card I used, my actual total was about $3.00 out of pocket for three packs of diapers and a bag of candy corn.

I am very happy with this trip considering we needed a bunch of the stuff- dish soap, deodorant and Kleenex. I am also happy that I actually rolled my ECb instead of just spending them. Maybe I will actually keep up on the CVS thing now, I know that my budget would thank me!
Learn your lesson from this trip- always scan your CVS card at the magic red machine because you never know what kind of awesome coupons you will get (this trip included $1 off any baby wipes, $1.50 off of any deodorant and $1 off of any Kleenex).

Received $10 ECB for purchasing $20 in Schick/Skintimate
I think maybe I'll get back into the drugstore thing again- but only with CVS for now. Why? Because CVS is very simple to shop at and the ECB's don't expire for a month which gives me more time than Walgreens or Rite to roll my rewards. Now I have $10 to work with so lets see if I can stick with it this time.

I had a dentist's appointment so my mom took the kids for the day. I don't usually run to a ton of stores but since I was kid free I decided why the heck not. As you can see I used up all of my ECB because CVS stinks with deals and I no longer want to be forced to roll ECB on stuff I don't need.
Stayed tuned for my grocery shopping post...

Kid Free Shopping
My mom had the kids from 10 am to 3:30 pm today because I had a dentist's appointment and the kids wanted to have a "Mimi Day". That may seem like a lot of time but it really isn't- I went to BJ's and CVS after I dropped off the kids, went to my appointment at 12:30, ate lunch, ran to Rite Aid and then picked up the kids. My mom lives about 30 minutes from me and my dentist's office is in my town so I had to drive back for my appointment and then back to my mom's. Holy driving Batman!
BJ's
2 Boxes Rice Krispies (2 bags in each) @ $6.59 each - $4/2 BJ's coupon and $1/2 MC
BJ's Apple Juice $4.99 (I've been on an apple juice kick lately- much better than soda)
Finish Tabs 80 Count $11.99 - $3.50 BJ's coupon
2 Honey Buns @ $2.59 each (for husband so he won't buy donuts)
Pedigree 24 Pack Dog Food $15.99
Satin Care Shave Gel 3 Pack $5.99 - $1.00 MC (not pictured)
3 lb Bag Reduced Bananas .89 (will use for baking)
2 Bags Purina One Beyond Dog Food (3.5 lbs each) @ $5.99 each - (2) $2 instant rebate and (2) $3.00 MC
Total: $52.65
My family eats a lot of Rice Krispies. I tried buying healthy rice cereal but my son can tell the difference and my husband would not touch it with a ten foot pose. My daughter was tricked for awhile but she too, at the tender age of 21 months, has caught on the my shenanigans. Today I paid more than I would have liked to for cereal but at least I have enough to last a bit and I don't have to stress about trying to find a good deal.
CVS
Band Aids $4.89 - $4.89 MC (up to $5 off)
Neosporin $6.49 - $5.00 MC
Crest $3.49 - $1.00 MC
Less $3 ECB
Total: .98 which was put on a gift card I received from taking surveys
New Total: $0
Saved 100%
Received $8 ECB ($5 Band Aid/Neosporin and $3 Crest)
This transaction was so messed up due to the fact that the store I went to had the tags on the wrong toothpaste which looked almost exactly like the right toothpaste. The cashier ended up giving my $3 ECB but then I went back in again because she owed me the difference between the wrong and right toothpaste which was about $1.50. I usually don't make a stink about things like this but when I told her that my ECB didn't print she was a little rude when she was trying to figure out how to print them and blamed my coupons for the fact that she didn't know how to do her job. You should have seen her face when I went back in to get the money I was owed- she tried telling me that I told her I wanted to full price product when I specifically told her I wanted the product that was on sale. Whenever something has wrung up incorrectly or I have bought the wrong item it was never such an issue to get it corrected. And as someone who worked in retail I never huffed or puffed at any customers ever so I find it unacceptable for someone to be even slightly rude to customers. Rant over- on to Rite Aid...
Rite Aid
3 Dixie Products @ $1.97 each - $5/3 Video Values coupon
Little Fevers $3.99
Cadbury Egg .50
Less $5 +Up Rewards
Total: .40
Saved 96%
Rite Aid was wiped out of all of the freebies but how could I turn down .30 a package plates? We really don;t even use paper plates all that much but they are great to have on hand for cookouts and birthday parties during the summer. The Little Fevers was something we really needed- I ran out of fever reducer a long time ago and figured that having some on hand is a way better idea than having to run out in the middle of the night to get some.
I am shopped out.

We were literally down to our last roll of toilet paper and I had $10 in ECB to burn before they expired so I think i made good use of them. My husband also needed soda so instead of using my grocery budget to buy it I used my ECB and gift card.
The diapers were a great deal and the fact that I bought them shows me that I still have hope that we will have another baby. If it turns out that another little one is not in our future I can always donate them to help someone in need.

Total: $6.96

No money-makers or free stuff here but I am very excited at the deal I got! We usually buy my husband's Starbucks drinks at BJ's where a 12 pack is $13.99; if I have a $1.00 MC then I can get them for $12.99. To compare prices, the above drinks would have cost $34.56 at BJ's ($1.08 per drink). I paid $17.63 (.55 per drink) for them plus two Gatorades! (I don't count the ECB until I actually spend them because they are not really worth anything until redeemed).
Plus, I have $10 in ECB to spend in the future.

Earned $5 +Up Rewards ($3 Hershey's Bagged Candy and $2 Candy Bars)
I needed candy for stockings and batteries for all of the darn toys that I knew my kids would be getting for Christmas so mission accomplished. I would have spent less out of pocket at Rite Aid but the store was really busy so I didn't want to take a ton of time adding stuff up in my head. $2.50 is not too shabby but the cashier was not happy about all of the coupons to which I replied when my order was complete in my nicest voice and with my biggest smile- Have a Merry Christmas.
Gosh darn it- if you don't like dealing with coupons go work at a store that doesn't accept them. I hated coupons when I was in high school and working at a grocery store but you would have never known it if you came through my line- I was as nice as could be because I was getting paid to be a cashier and to be nice to people. I really, really hated the crazies who would ask for a paper bag inside of a paper bag when I would bag their groceries. What kind of you-know-what hole asks for paper in paper. Paper in plastic I understand but paper in paper?! And then to top it off they would request that you didn't fill up the bags too much so they weren't too heavy. I really think that the reason I don't like dealing with people is the fact that I had exposure to such completely rude and idiotic people at a young age. But I digress...

I ended up having to do two transactions on different days because on Sunday I got the wrong batteries. I returned them today and got The money back and then bought the right batteries but for some reason I didn't get the instant discount on the DVD. I told the cashier I would just take the batteries and see what my receipt said on it. It didn't even show that I bought any P&G products whereas the receipt I had from Sunday said I had about $21. The manager thought it was weird too so he manually entered the $16 discount and after all of that I finally got my son Toy Story 3. The manager was very nice- I really like when people at stores are nice because as someone who uses coupons I am all too familiar with rude and incompetent cashiers and managers. This is my favorite CVS to go to.
Also, on Sunday I was charged for seven boxes of Puffs instead of the six that I actually bought. I didn't realize it until after I left the store and we had to go see my parents so they could see the kids in their costumes and then get home to go trick or treating. I didn't feel like running back and setting us behind schedule so I'll just eat the .97 and realize that at that moment my sanity was worth way more than $1.00.
I now have no ECB left. I am very happy about this because going to CVS has turned into such a chore that I don't want to be chained to them anymore with having to roll ECB's. I still have a little money left on a gift card and am expecting a $5 gift card in the mail soon from Lightspeed Panel so that should be good in case CVS decides to have any deals on things I actually want.
