My Register Rewards from the Pampers diaper deal a couple of weeks ago were expiring so I needed to use them up. I looked for the goodies that were free after RR but the store I went to was all out (except for the contact solution, which I have no need for) so I bought something that we always need- toilet paper.

Basically as it stands right now I spent $5.25 for each package of diapers. Not a super deal BUT I also have $6 in Register Rewards to spend and a $5 Pampers coupon. I don't count the Register Rewards earned until I actually redeem them but if you are into that sort of thing then I suppose you could say the diapers ended up being $4.25 a pack. And if you wanted to throw in the Pampers coupon you could say I paid $3.42 a pack (but still, counting coupons before they are redeemed is voo-doo science to me).

I would have spend a little less if I didn't buy the Easy Ups (the Walgreens coupon was only good towards the regular diapers) but my son still needs to wear a diaper at night and he totally freaks out if I try to put a "baby" diaper on him.

My mom also got in on this deal to help me stock up for the baby so my diaper closet is filled- not enough to diaper a baby for over two years but a great start for now!

My Register Rewards were expiring yesterday so I bought some things that we needed. I didn't roll them because I really don't like shopping at Walgreens for many reasons, one of them being the dumb rule that you have to have as many items as you have Register Rewards/manufacturer coupons.

I now officially have no Register Rewards, ECB or +Up Rewards to my name. It is kind of scary not to have that cushion of rewards to use on deals but at the same time it is liberating. I am no longer a slave to the drugstores, having to worry about rolling my rewards or my rewards expiring before I an use them. No more having to buy junk I don;t even need just to keep up with the drugstore game. Plus, if you haven't noticed, Rite Aid has really started to slow down on the awesome deals and CVS totally stink with the deals. I guess I haven't really been missing out on much not being gung-ho about deals lately.

I had a dentist's appointment so my mom took the kids for the day. I don't usually run to a ton of stores but since I was kid free I decided why the heck not. As you can see I used up all of my ECB because CVS stinks with deals and I no longer want to be forced to roll ECB on stuff I don't need.

Stayed tuned for my grocery shopping post...
