Tacky Times Two...

Sometimes I feel like the future of our society is doomed.

Case in point- my cousin and his girlfriend are having a baby in September. They already have an almost three year old daughter together.

So, they are having a baby soon. I found out today that they are having a baby shower at their house and was asked if they got a hold of me. No, but I said that we moved and my mail has been getting messed up so maybe the invitation is at my old address. Well I guess that would be impossible considering they invited people through Facebook.

Huh? Is it not worse enough that you are having a baby shower when you just had a baby shower three years ago, but then you have to go to a whole other level of tacky and invite people through Facebook? What, you want to keep your overhead low so you can make out like a bigger bandit with all of the free stuff you're getting? Did you not save anything from your first child? If not, then why are you relying on everyone to re-buy you everything again just because you were wasteful?

Yes indeed, our society is doomed if people think that this stuff in any way contains one molecule of proper etiquette. If you must beg for more stuff for the baby you can't afford, at least go to the dollar store and buy some invitations and maybe cut out one trip to McDonalds so you can buy the postage.

I would woop my children if they ever pulled crap like this...

Pain in the Butt...

I just got my Toys R Us rewards in my email, fifty dollars worth from getting 10% back from my December purchases.

I'm not sure how excited I am though for a few reasons:

A. they are only for in-store purchases- I hate going to stores to shop and really hate taking my kids with me, especially to a toy store
B. they need to all be used in the next month- $25 worth need to be used by January 13th and $25 are valid between January 14th and January 28th; I am so sick of toys and gifts that I have no desire to buy anything of those sorts i the next month plus, as stated in A. I have no desire to visit Toys R Us twice in one month
C. why the hell can't they give us a break and allow them to be used on diapers- though I don't see wipes excluded...

I suppose I'm the only person in the world who would complain about rewards but I'm at a point in life right now where convenience is king so having to go to a store to redeem rewards for stuff that I don't actually need is annoying. Will I still do it? You betcha because I can't stand to waste $50.

Last week I bought the domain justcallmecheap.com through my Blogger account thinking that it would be easy peazy.

It was supposed to automatically update but guess what? With all of my awesome luck that I have it did not do as it was supposed to.

A week later and many message board and blog tutorials later I am still in the same predicament I was a week ago- no custom domain for my little, insignificant blog.

I am so annoyed and am sick of trying to figure out why Google stinks. Maybe I'll take some time away from this issue and revisit it when I don't feel like strangling someone.

I really hate technology and I really, really hate paying $10 for something that suckidy, suck, sucks.
