Saturday Shopping

This will be my last Saturday shopping trip. I'm not sure what my new shopping day will be but I am leaning towards Mondays with my two and four year old in tow- sounds like good times (I am totally being sarcastic).

Dave's Marketplace (a local grocery store in Rhode Island)

Lettuce .99

1 lb Organic Baby Carrots $1.50 - .25 Checkout 51 rebate = $1.25
1.23 lb Gala Apples $1.83 ($1.49/lb)
2 lb Bag Onions $1.99
(2) 1 lb Containers Strawberries @ $2 each
Quinoa Pasta $3 (I love this brand- it tastes even better than real pasta!)
2 Alexia Fries @ $2.50 each - (2) $1 MC = $1.50 each
1.61 lb Grass Fed Steak $11.26 ($6.99/lb)

Stop and Shop

5 lb Bag Red Potatoes $3.99
1.15 lb Bananas .79
2 Stonyfield Organic Yogurt @ $4.39 each - (2) .80 MC (doubled) = $2.79 each
Stop and Shop Parmesan Cheese $2.79

Total: $13.15

Target

Up&Up Drain Cleaner $4.64 - 10% Cartwheel = $4.17
SB Fruit Twists $2.99 - 5% Cartwheel = $2.84
6 Iams Cat Food @ .59 each - (2) $2 off 3 MC = *** .46 overage ***
5 Cherry Coke $11 - 5% Cartwheel = $10.44 (my husband is now happy)
Threshold Quilt $20.98 - 15% Cartwheel = $17.83 (reg. $69.99- what a deal!)
Less 5% Red Card Savings

Total: $35.49 ($12.62 will go towards my grocery budget)

I am so excited about the quilt- we wanted to buy something to put on our couch so if our Holly dog jumped on it she wouldn't get dog hair everywhere. I thought it was on clearance for $35 and was happy with that deal, but it being on clearance for $21 plus getting the Cartwheel discount was awesome!

CVS

3 Cadbury Mini Eggs @ $3 each - $2 off 3 MC = $2.33 each
6 Cadbury Creme Eggs @ .99 BOGO free = .50 each

Less $5 Extra Care Bucks

Total: $5.46
Earned: $2 Extra Care Bucks

I had $5 Extra Care Buck that I received from taking a CVS Advisor survey and it was expiring today so I decided to be nice and buy my husband some of his favorite candy with it.

In total I spent $65.75 and I am done buying groceries for the week, though I may need a gallon of milk. Now to make a menu plan!
