Please tell me I'm not the only mom who feels on the verge of a nervous breakdown sometimes.
My kids are at the ages where they are constantly fighting over everything and the fact that I am pregnant and emotional already is making me want to walk out of the house and leave the kids to battle it out by themselves.
Apart the kids are great, together they make me want to jump headfirst out a window. And now after expelling what little energy I had on yelling and holding myself back from beating some sense into my little monsters I feel like I need a nap.
Joyous times, joyous time.
So can relate. Not necessarily the sibling rivalry but our 3 yr old pushing our buttons and having the selective hearing thing going on. Argghh! When our two older ones would fight we would make them sit on the couch and hold hands until they were done. Sometimes even have to hug it out. Needless to say, they stopped battleing for the most part, at least around me. Hope your days get better.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea about making the kids sit and hold hands! My daughter isn't even two yet so I doubt she would sit still but I will use it in the future because I know the fighting will continue on for many years.
