Hood Milk $3.89 - $3.75 Shaws Catalina (received for bying 3 boxes of Kix last week)
less $1.00 coupon that I didn't have- I think tht cashier scanned one of my coupons twice.

Total: $23.57- actual $13.57 (see below)

I should have received a $10.00 Catalina for purchasing 10 Kelloggs items (the Cheez Its and Eggos) but it didn't print. The customer service person gave me $10 cash which I deposited into my bank account and credited my grocery budget. This means that the above transaction actually cost me $13.57.

It looks like I feed my family a lot of junk when you look at this picture but I don't. The Eggos and chicken nuggets are for me for lunch (I grew up eating this crap and old habits die hard). I choose not to feed my kids these things because I don't want them to get used to eating like this. With that said, I am human and I do get tired and overwhelmed sometimes so if I need to I fall back on less healthy food to feed my son (my daughter is only one so she is too little to partake in these things) I do it.

My milk point also didn't print so I am guessing there was an issue with the Catalina machine. The nice customer service person gave me a paper saying that I earned one point. I now have three so three more to go for a free gallon of milk. I really am glad that Shaws lowered the price of Hood milk to $3.89 because it is only .20 cent more then the Cumberland Farms milk we were buying. That combined with the buy 6 get one free deal and Shaws has become my new best friend.

I have $78.89 in my grocery budget for the week. My normal budget is $60 but I have had some rebate checks come in and I have not been using my full amount budgeted every week. I will most likely stock up on some ground beef this week and I am planning on buying a lobster and some other seafood for dinner on Sunday night. Lobster is $4.99/lb at Shaws and my son thinks they are so cool whenever we walk by them in the store. Being frugal and using coupons is no fun unless you get to splurge a little now and then.
