This week I have spent $50.50 on groceries so far (the trash bags go into my household budget) which is under the $65 I have budgeted ($60 is my normal budget and I have an additional $5 from a Sorrento String Cheese rebate).

The steak tips were $2.99 a pound but by the time I went shopping they were all out. The woman in the meat department gave me a rain check and marked down a steak to $2.99/lb (from $6.99/lb) so I would have something for dinner that night. I am so happy that I ended up getting a rain check because now I can wait until I have more money in my budget (if I keep underspending and get some more rebates in the mail) and stock up on a lot of cheap steak tips. Yeah!
