I'm a Freak...

I feel like a freak sometimes. You see, I have three children and no one else in the area we are renting our townhouse has three (or more) kids. They all have one or two kids, and if they have two kids the age difference is at least five years.

You may think this means nothing but in the world of mommy-ville I have about as much in common with them as I do with someone in a Mexican drug cartel.

Something happens when you go from two to three children- you go from average parents who are not outnumbered to what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you parents who everyday wonder if that is in fact the day the kids are going to overthrow the household.

No one can truly understand what it is like to have three (or more) kids who are very close in age to each other because it turns your life so completely fricken upside down that normal people would have nightmares if they knew the gory details. And please don't even get me started on how many times I have to hear someone say "Wow, you really have your hands full" when I drag the three monsters to the store. Yes random stranger, I do have my hands full- for one brief second I forgot that for the next eighteen years I will not have one moment to myself but thank you for reminding me!

And for those who say "I don't know how you do it"- well, I drink a lot. It's always five o'clock somewhere, right?
