Total: $32.70 after using a $5.00 Catalina and paying with a $10.00 rebate card from Kelloggs.
Received: 2 coupons for free milk from purchasing six boxes of Kix and a coupon for $10.00 off of a gift card from Shaws' Gift Card Mall (excluding Shaws gift cards) for purchasing $30 in P&G products.
I paid $3.00 for six boxes of Kix and got two coupons for free gallons of milk. Awesome deal!
In total I spent $13.90 on the P&G products and got a $10 coupons towards a gift card. When I enter my receipt into my spreadsheet I am going to put only $3.90 under household expenses instead of the full amount because I am not going to be able to use the gift card to purchase household items but I will be able to use it for some other need (not sure what i am going to purchase yet). So basically I am taking the saving that the gift card will give me and transferring it to my household budget. Makes sense to me but I will understand if others have absolutely no idea what I am talking about.
