Good Customer Service...

Recently I was checking out Slickdeals and found an awesome deal for a Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller for about $40 shipped through Amazon but fulfilled through Diapers.com. I totally jumped on it because the Joovy normally sells for $120 to $150 and I have a hard time saying no to such deals. We have a Britax B-Ready Stroller right now with the second seat add on but I'm not sure how much longer my three year old will fit in the bottom, plus one cannot have too many strollers (by this I mean usable strollers that are each good in different situations, not stroller hoarding). Plus $40 for a stroller is a steal.

Well, my order ended up getting cancelled. I wasn't upset because you win some and you lose some. I didn't actually *need* the stroller so I moved on- other deals will come. I just want to say right here that I really hate when people get super mad when a deal doesn't go through or gets cancelled- get over it; life goes on and if some silly deal gets you that uspet then you have issues in your life that you need to deal with.

A couple of days ago I got an email from Diapers.com saying that they were sorry my order go cancelled and even though the strollers were back ordered they would ship me one at the awesome price as soon as they got more in.

I was amazed. Companies don't usually do things like this and I wasn't expecting anything from them. They chose to abide by their word and I applaud them for doing this. Diapers.com has great customer service, as well as their other companies Yoyo.com (bought tons of stuff from them for Christmas- return process was great), Wag.com (pet food I ordered was recalled, gave me a $10 credit for my my troubles) and Soap.com (all purpose cleaner I ordered leaked all over the box it came in, sent me a whole new bottle and told me to keep the one that leaked as well). Amazon is also very good about their customer service (though I did have one bad incident with a Tinkerbell pinata recently but I suppose every company has it's bad days).

I will continue to do business with them as good customer service is something that is hard to find these days and many companies just tell you to pound sand when you have an issue (Target.com I'm talking to you). Thank you Diapers.com and it's sister sites for showing me that companies can be kind and respectful to their customers.

  2. I'm glad that you got quite a number of great deals. Yes, good customer service is quite a rare find these days. Yes, it's so nice of some companies out there to stay true to their word, especially when a price drop is concerned. It's no wonder why these companies have been in the industry for generations now.
