Al Fresco Sausage $1 Coupon

This week at Dave's Marketplace (a local grocery store chain in Rhode Island) they have 12 oz. packages of Al Fresco Chicken Sausage on sale for $2.99. If you sign up for the Al Fresco newsletter they send you a link for a $1.00 coupon making the sausage $1.99.

To me this is a good deal, especially for a high quality, natural product.

When I buy sausage I like to simmer it in pasta sauce to make a quick and simple meat sauce. I just cut the meat out of the casing, brown it a bit and then add sauce and simmer. Pour it over some pasta and you have a simple dinner that tastes like you slaved over the stove for hours. Add some homemade bread (from the bread machine, of course) and everyone is full and happy after a healthy and easy dinner.
