Store Brand Formula Equal to the Name Brands

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of storebrandformula.com for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I breastfed both of my children for a year each during which time they did not receive a drop of formula and while I believe that breast milk is what is ideal for a baby I do know that sometimes it is not possible for a mother to breastfeed. If you can't or choose not to breastfeed you still want your baby to receive the best nutrition possible and unfortunately due to many of the marketing campaigns out there many moms are led to believe that name brand formula is best when in fact that is very far from the truth.

Recently a U.S. Circuit court held up a 13.5 million dollar false advertising claim against Enfamil's parent company, Mead Johnson, which stated that Enfamil falsely claimed in their advertising that their formula was superior to store brand formula. PBM Products, which is Perrigo's store brand infant formula business, correctly argued that store brand formula has the same nutrients and same levels of nutrients of the more expensive name brand formulas.

For store brand formula companies to fairly complete with companies such as Enfamil the name brand companies should not be able to make false claims about the superiority of their products and with this recent ruling things like these will hopefully not happen anymore. What it all comes down to is that when choosing how to feed your baby you need to do what is best for your baby and base that decision on what you feel is right and on truthful facts. Spending more money on a name brand formula does not mean that your baby will be fed any better than if you buy a store brand formula.
