Meal Plan- No Shopping Edition

I don't know when I am going to the grocery store this week so my meal plan only includes what I have on hand. If I do get to the store it may change a bit.

Monday
Main Dish: Teriyaki Beef, Corn and String Bean Stir Fry
Side Dishes: Brown Rice and a Baked Potato for my Husband
Notes: Beef was leftover from a meal last week

Tuesday
Main Dish: Roasted Whole Chicken
Side Dishes: Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Broccoli and Homemade Rolls

Wednesday
Main Dish: Pasta with Sauce and Homemade Meatballs
Side Dishes: Sting Beans and Homemade Italian Bread

Thursday
Main Dish: Shredded Chicken with Homemade Gravy
Side Dishes: Roasted Potatoes, Peas and Corn
Notes: The gravy will be made from chicken stock that will be made from the leftover chicken carcass from Tuesday's dinner. I will also use whatever leftover chicken I can get but will most likely have to supplement with a chicken breast.

Friday
Take Out- Yeah!

Saturday
Working until 6- the kids eat before I get home and my husband and I usually have pasta

Sunday
Main Dish: Homemade Pizza (plain for my husband/son and with green peppers and broccoli for me)

Everything listed are things that I have on hand in my pantry and freezer. If I do get to the store I may add some elements to eat meal but the main dishes should stay pretty much the same.

My three year old son eats what we eat for dinner but I also add things to his plate that I know he likes (applesauce, yogurt, raisins, etc.). We expect him to take at least one bite of everything on his plate to try it but don't force him to eat anymore if he doesn't want to.

I try to get my 16 month old daughter to eat with us but she usually can't make it to five or five thirty so I usually end up making her something simple. I am going to try to get her to start eating with us more so she can get more used to eating what we eat- we'll see how it goes!

I am participating in I'm and Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday.

  1. Good for you! You had everything in your freezer! I need to get a little freezer for my garage. Plan sounds good.
