The soda and chips were a great deal. After coupons and instant savings I paid $7.51 for four 12 packs of Coke and two 10 oz. bags of Utz Chips (I love Utz chips-Yum!). I really hate the bottle deposit. I know that I get the money back when I redeem the bottles at the store but what a pain and I sometimes feel like a bag lady when I am lugging my huge bag of empty cans into the store.

It seems as though I am set for food for my daughter's birthday party. Tonight I am going to make the cake, pasta salad and marinate the steak tips and chicken breast.

I tried out a new recipe for chocolate cake and used a 3-D bear pan to test it. The cake stuck a little bit so I think tonight I will use shortening and flour to prepare the doll pan instead of cooking spray and flour.
